just saw a so-so movie with a KICKASS non-ending. i LOVE a non-ending when theyre done well. fuck they get me. ill be thinking abt that movie for like 3 days now. if it had a proper conclusion and closing action and shit i wouldve forgotten it instantly. it was otherwise just ok. the ending kicked ass.
Waiting for people to fuck up so you can cancel them, gatekeeping, communities self-policing to the point of self-destruction, debating each other’s validity, communities infighting over terminology, fighting over the Best way to exist, trying to define what a Bad Community Member is/does, vilifying those people.
Besties I think we fucked up and internalized the surveillance state or the omni-present judgment of god or purity culture or perhaps just maybe all 3

It’s also silly to dismiss people pointing out how the movie has some of the most laughably horrible, misogynist writing of women in any recent movie as Liberal “more female warcrimes!” for a number of reasons, not least of all because the real woman being portrayed WAS A COMMUNIST and is just made a manic pixie dream girl here
